Hi do anyone use uv light with there hognose, just asking as I put a 5.0uv bulb in her viv and she seems to love it, she sits right under it, on top of her plant,I don't think it's for the heat as when I used l.e.d lights she showed no interest.

Hi yes I always use guards, a must have, they don't need uv but I thought as she is only young it won't do her any harm, plus they bask in the sun in the wild. And on the plus side it lights her viv up.

Hi there. Hoggies don't need UV lights so it's entirely up to you if you want to use one. The only thing I'd say (in a very stern voice) is to make sure you use a guard over any bulb you do use so your hoggy can't burn herself. There are people on this forum who've lost snakes that way. Hope you're enjoying having a hoggy!
