I know it was a bit too big. It was all the pet shop had.

It pissed on the table so I had to put a paper towel under it. Stupid me forgot to put the towel under it first.

Any one else see the face in this photo?

I think he was looking at my head.

He's nice.

I've heard of Kenyan Sand boas, but I'd never seen one before. I didn't expect them to be so brightly coloured. I suppose it's the 'sand' bit of their name- I thought they'd be beige .

That doesn't look too big really. He handled it ok

Kazerella, Thanks! Where they live this really doesn't blend in much. They get the sand part because in nature they live under the sand :).

Must be hard to change them over, but it can be done.

Frozen mice are so much easier. No, mess, no noise, no guilt

A little.

I really feel no guilt. I did when I first started feeding snakes but then I realised, there dieing so some thing else can live.

I tried to, but I don't think Lewy wants them in the house. Nearly bought some off Preloved the other day, but Lewy said I wasn't allowed

I hate mealies too. I think they go in people's ears and eat brains

They're only on mealies every now and then, mostly crickets, earthworms, and grass hoppers. The Roaches kaz was looking at were hissing roaches and they're a little big for The Mighty Alberto at the moment. I wouldn't mind roaches in the house as long as they don't escape like the crickets somehow keep doing.

Dubias can't climb glass. You should look into them!

See that's the problem, we've got coco fibre background (sprayed daily to keep up the humidity) even the cricket have an easy time climbing up it. Will still look into dubias - how fast are they? can you catch em quick enough if they decide to make a run for it?

I do, but you always get a couple of well fed ninja crickets that scale the coco fibre while I try and grab them with the tongs.

The ones that have escape have done so of their own accord - somehow out of the cricket keeper.
That's why I'm concerned about roaches - all it takes is two to escape and we could end up with an unwanted infestation
